Mutual recognition arrangements signed by the CBSA

By signing an MRA with a foreign customs administration both the CBSA and the other organization:

  • acknowledge that their trusted trader programs are compatible
  • agree to exchange basic information about members
  • provide members with benefits, such as less chances of border examinations

As a PIP member, you can get recognized as a low risk trader in the other country. This means faster border clearance and greater market access. Members can select which MRA partners they wish to receive benefits from.
